Who do I see?
Same day appointments made 8am to 9 am.
9 am onwards – all other appts/enquiries (except results which are available between 3pm – 4pm)
An appointment system operates at all times. Appointments can be made by telephone or at Reception during surgery hours. Extended hours appointments also available.
Should you require an urgent appointment for that day, please telephone as early as possible from 8 am. Emergency appointments are for conditions that have arisen or worsened suddenly and need treatment the same day. If your condition is not urgent or if you wish to see a particular Doctor, or at a particular time, you may have to wait a few days for an appointment, depending on how busy we are.
Although the doctors endeavour to keep surgeries running to time, some consultations will inevitably take longer than others. We would therefore ask you please to be patient if you are kept a little beyond your appointment time. The Practice offers a weekly extended hours service, where you can book an early morning appointment.
Requests for a home visit should be made before 10am. Please note that housecalls are made at the Doctor’s discretion, and this service is provided for patients whose condition makes it impossible for them to attend the surgery. If you are unsure if a home visit is required, please ask to speak to the Doctor. We can see three patients in the medical centre in the time it takes to attend one house visit, so please do not request a home visit unless strictly necessary.
The practice is almost always the best place to be seen, where all means of examination, diagnosis and treatment are at hand.
